UW labs developing therapies to combat Ebola’s spread

Two University of Washington scientists are trying to understand the mechanisms underlying the ebola virus in order to halt its spread.

Immunologist Michael Gale and microbiologist Michael Katze are exploring different aspects of the infection -- to create an antiviral therapy and to discern what helps people survive the deadly infection.
