UW drug-abuse researcher named to task force on heroin

King County Executive Dow Constantine and Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced a 32-member task force charged with finding ways to better address the regional heroin epidemic.

Caleb Banta-Green, a senior researcher with the UW’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute, called for a dramatic change in the public approach to caring for heroin users.
