Harborview staff rally to help nurse battling blood disorder

Jen Schmitt's colleagues at Harborview Medical Center are rallying to her aid. Schmitt, an ICU nurse, is battling an extremely rare, potentially fatal bleeding disorder.

Schmitt's co-workers donated sick and vacation leave to her, and started an extensive drive to see if any was a match for her platelet type. Schmitt has lived her entier life with Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia, which causes internal bleeding.
